About Me

I live and write in southeastern Michigan. A former National Merit Scholar, I received a BA degree from Wayne State University (Monteith College) and then an MBA from Michigan State.

I've worked for some of the world's largest advertising agencies and enjoyed a career in public relations and marketing with an international Fortune 10 company. Non-fiction publications produced during my career were recognized with several awards, including Gold, Silver and Bronze from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).

However, writing fiction has always been my secret passion. I submitted my first story at 17, while still in high school. since my early "retirement" in 2008, I have published seven books, including the Readers' Favorite Gold Medal novel "Reichold Street" (which also received a favorable Kirkus Review) and the short-story collection "Zebulon," which was a Readers' Favorite Silver Medal Winner in Young Adult Fantasy. I also have a Readers' Favorite Bronze Medal for my novel "Blood Lake."

I'm hard at work on another novel, tentatively titled "T'Sali's Curse."

I will have to read one of your books soon! Yes, I know about the secret passion for writing. With me, it started in the 8th grade when my English teacher lauded a story that I wrote. So as a result, I've been writing all my life. Mostly journals and poetry, as well as web content. Finally, I have dedicated myself to writing full time. My first book, a collection of very personal short stories, is due out in a few weeks. I am currently working on a novel about strange communications. Good luck, with "T'Sali's Curse"
