Born and raised in Brooklyn, Cheryl Gross is an illustrator, painter, writer, and motion graphic artist living and working in the New York area. She is a professor at Pratt Institute, (where she holds an MFA) and Bloomfield College. Prolific and poignant, Cheryl’s illustration, painting and motion credits include the ever-popular Jimmy Stewart and His Poems, The Zebra Poetry Film Festival, Berlin, the permanent collection of The Museum Of The City Of New York. The Body Electric Film Festival, Fort Collins, Colorado, 2013, Filmpoem, Scotland, 2012, International Short Film Festival, Berlin, 2012, 35th International San Francisco LGBT Film Festival, 100 New York Painters, Schiffler Publishing, Riverside Museum, Riverside, Ca., Comedynet.com, Associatedcontent.com, Current TV, Laforet Harajuku Museum, Tokyo, Japan, and Artist-In-Residency, Kunstlerhaus, Saarbruken, Germany. Her work has been reviewed in The New York Times, The Village Voice, Newsday and the California Gallery Guide to name just a few.
